Another Student Update
Here is Jon’s latest painting which he is preparing to enter another local art competition. Earlier I posted his work under Student Update.

As you can see he is a very talented artist and his art is making great improvements.
He has simplified the image, used bold yellow and floated the subject to create a very unusual composition. Many of his recent works reflect his close study of Francis Bacon (1909-1992), who was an Irish-born famous British figurative painter.

The above painting caused shock amongst the Artworld when it was first shown in 1953 and gave him instant international recognition.
Jon is studying various modern masters and who knows where his art will lead him.
He continues to surprise me.
