The 100th Post

Let me say this has been my hardest post so far. I wanted it to be something special. So I have struggled with it for ages and finally thought the following letter to my wife might be best. It shows how I have not only surprised myself with these posts but a friend too.

How did this happen? Just a little while ago I did not even know what blogging was.

Just received this email to my wife from a friend who has also been a student of mine. Full of talent I have encouraged him to start a blog. So far he has resisted. His name is Tony.

“I remember when he (i.e. me) was asking about Blogs before the Winter chill (Southern Hemisphere) and now seemingly five minutes later his words and images travel the ether whispering through the corridors and crevices of people’s minds, indeed penetrating their very being, settling softer on their souls than the footfall of a sugar glider preparing to fly and spreading his perceptive wisdoms, his complicated designs and graphics ( it was really simple Tony) sliding across web page view and we at the base of the pillar of knowledge marvel at the artist and his work! Is this the same humble artist we knew before…is it my friend?

He seems now to be soaring into rarefied air, well, as previously stated, the ether, in fact he may clash with the Virgin Master on his initial flight flying through the artist’s enlightened thoughts – as they bounce from satellite to satellite making hearts and souls feel a true sense of well being and satisfaction and I truly believe he is well on the way to fame and ….dare I say it…dare I ….dammit I will…fortune – Fortune I tells ya!”

Somehow Tony has a few misconceptions about me and blogging…….the fame and fortune thing but apart from that I love his writing and I believe is an amazing artist….writer/painter/poet waiting to be discovered.

He has a website at http://www.tonyprance.com/ and I recommend you visit it. He needs encouragement and really fits into a quote I discovered recently.

The greater the artist, the greater the doubt.

Perfect confidence is granted to the lesser talented as a consolation prize.
