Here is a new acrylic painting of mine titled Transfiguration on a 30 x 40 inch canvas.
This was inspired by a Raphael painting of the same name….. his last painting.
I also like the Harry Potter reference to Transfiguration.
“Transfiguration is a branch of magic that focuses on the alteration of the form or appearance of an object.”
This has a close association to my painting too.
I think we all need a little bit of magic in our lives.
What do you think?

Wow. I absolutely love this one. Love the fluidity of the paint and the size and colors. Congratulations. RLTE
Thanks Silvia. You reminded me of a little story I must share with you. A very good Astrologer/Psychic told me a long time ago if you get the reaction “WOW” to your work you are on your right path. So thanks for your “Wow” ….very best wishes, Robert
This is a superb piece Robert, the layering and colour is magnificent – and there’s no grid 😉
Well John…..I debated about using the grid format. Decided against it. Maybe the world is not really ready for the grid at present.
Thank you for your superb rating …… that must be better than good….right? Appreciate your support and comments. The very best, Robert
‘Superb’ is certainly way, way above ‘good’ – Did you ever listen to The Firesign Theater? They always referred to the Deity as Grid…
I know John….it was just my poor attempt at being humble. No, I never did get to hear The Firesign Theater but I did last night on YouTube. I did LOVE The Goons which I see they were influenced by. I will need to check further on the Deity as Grid.
OMG you know the Goons! – I grew up listening to The Goon Show and they influenced my life – I know of no-one else who remembers them…
I just found their website at http://www.thegoonshow.net/
For those who don’t know their crazy humor here is a little detail …..The Goon Show was a British radio show that started in 1951 and ran until 1960. It changed the face of British comedy and still maintains its influence to this day!
The Goons included Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe. They burst onto the radio with surreal storylines, absurd logic, puns, catchphrases and groundbreaking sound effects. They ridiculed the pomposity of those in authority and laughed at the stupidity of mankind.
Characters such as Ned Seagoon, Eccles, Bluebottle, Major Bloodnok, Minnie Bannister, Henry Crun, Grytpype-Thynne and Moriarty all helped to create an alternative and ludicrous view of the world.
Few comedies from the UK have endured so well. Episodes are still repeated around the world and the BBC continues to release them on CD.
Australia embraced The Goons. Spike Milligan came from Woy Woy ………. near Sydney.
You can easily see where Monty Python and many others including The Beatles, got their humor from once you listen to The Goons.
Long Live The Goons!
I need some magic!!! This painting is magical!!!
Hi Kara, You don’t need anything……….. you are fantastic just as you are. The life of an actress in New York requires ….no demands, you find the magic inside yourself. Keep asking for the help/magic from within………it will appear. Secret ….That’s how I got this painting. Wishing ever success and happiness, Robert
