As anyone who knows me knows…..my heart is very rooted in New York
and what could be more NY than Central Park
Here is a black and white photograph of mine simply titled …….

THE HISTORY
A big confession………since a little boy my number one indulgence has been an apple turnover.
Others may turn to alcohol, drugs, smokes, gambling or whatever……we all have a weakness.
Over the years I learnt all about food’s nutritional value etc. and decided to still allow myself an occasional special treat.
TODAY
This morning on my early ride I found I had $3.00 in my pocket.
As I rode I wondered how I might best spend this amount.
Suddenly my favorite food came to mind but it costs $3,20…….20 cents short.
Then my mind started working and I devised a plan to get my fav food for $3.00
THE PLAN
Approach the lovely girl and suggest I buy the WGAT for $3.00
and give the business .20 cents free advertising on my world blog site.
The plan came unstuck when I suggested I pay $3.00 to the beautiful Claudia……… and she agreed.
I then went on to tell her of my plan anyway and she agreed to have a couple of photos taken.
THE WORLD’S GREATEST APPLE TURNOVER (TWGAT)

Our little visitor, Ewok has now established himself as…….The Great Indiana Jones Ewok
He caught and ate his first mouse (sorry mouse) yesterday and is very proud of himself.
It reminds you how programmed instinctive behaviour is and although he is well fed has basic desires just below the surface.

When we think about life we may wonder at …….. “The Distance Between Here and There”
Although often distance is an illusion and things can seem much bigger then they really are.
Just found this quote which I love…..
“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”
– Albert Einstein

Recently I was looking through Van Gogh’s letters and came across a drawing he did of his bedroom in Arles.
Thought you might like to see both and how he translated the drawing into his painting.
Like most artists he has made changes from the drawing……
have fun seeing if you can see the changes.

Spotted recently was this sign…………..Smoke But Don’t Drink Here
It is amazing how our attitudes to drinking and smoking are always changing.
This very basic structure is beside a sports playing field. People who use it must feel like “lepers”
I like the international symbols for OK and NOT OK.

Here’s a……..Tree That Scored a Goal
at least…caught my eye.
I do like the swirling wispy clouds which echo the upper leaves on the tree.
Also the curvilinear structure of the tree against the human made rigid and static goal posts.
That’s why this tree scored a goal!….with me.

Hey….you guys at the back……pay attention. This is a…………..School for Ibis
That was the body language of these magnificent creatures found grouped together on a recent morning ride.
Unfortunately the once mighty Royal bird of Egypt….the Ibis is now a scavenger in this area.
