Recently I was looking through Van Gogh’s letters and came across a drawing he did of his bedroom in Arles.
Thought you might like to see both and how he translated the drawing into his painting.
Like most artists he has made changes from the drawing……
have fun seeing if you can see the changes.

He moved his hat and the portrait above the head board is different (A landscape ?)….for starters.
for starters…..yes!
For seconders, the table has changed shape and whatever it is that’s under it in the drawing is not there in the painting. The floor is different too…(is there a prize?)
