I found a place……..a magical place…….”The Swamp”
The entrance to The Swamp was always locked until one day…… it was OPEN!
I entered……slowly…….warily……feeling……..The Swamp
Soon I was enchanted by it.
Every day since…..the entrance has been LOCKED!
Here you can feel some of………. “The Magic of The Swamp”

Today is a special day here……a public holiday (Queen’s Birthday)
For me on my morning ride it provided a real opportunity to discover …………….”Empty Street”
This is such a rare event on this street…..equivalent to an eclipse of the moon…..
hence …….the darkness.
Hope you enjoy “Empty Street” as I did.

I began to wonder why I like this photograph and I think it is the juxtaposition of this man-made structure against nature that I find interesting. It is the long, straight and hard-edged sitting in an undulating, rounded and randomly placed tree surrounding……..with the vastness of the sky overpowering all.
Or maybe it is our subconscious mind reminding us of childhood memories of slippery dips and playgrounds…… or even present day yearnings for distant places.
How does it make you feel?

As you may be aware I have been wanting to include YOU in my art.
Well here is another attempt only this time you can join me on my morning ride.
You are SEEING my vision as I pedal along inside Glennon Park and if you keep your eyes open….
you will see…..
some of the School for Ibis members,
the Smokers Only area,
The Tree That Scored a Goal
Also note the description on YouTube
Here is the first attempt by artist R J Burgess at MOVING image making of Fine Art Proportions.
With just a hand-held camera and riding his pushbike here is his Cinematic Debut.
Critics may call it ground-breaking, an epic, a masterpiece or they might call it……..
You can decide for yourself……….I need to get back to MAKING ART!

There are the most amazing discoveries to be made all around us.
With just 10 minutes bike ride I came across a local pony club meet.
As I approached a magnificent horse and rider exited the field and retired to a nearby enclosure.
I approached the owner/rider and she informed me her horse called “Major” had been disqualified because of a wrong bridle.
Major’s eye says it all as he looks back at the meet while his owner attempts to arrange for a new bridle.

This is a short movie titled …..”The River – Rapids”
Whilst I was riding this morning I came to this lovely part of the river and decided to set myself the task of
…..making a movie, editing it, and posting it here for you.
The above….made with my mobile phone and unedited…. is the result of all that…..
and I hope… for a brief moment…you can share this special place with me.
I wanted to include the intense sounds created by the birds and bubbling water.
