Person/s unknown have made an effort to dispose of their rubbish in an orderly if unusual manner.
Here was a photo opportunity for me.

New photo image……….. Title : The School Of Bus Stops’
I guess I should explain this image a little.
It started when I saw two school girls sitting on the grass waiting for a bus. It is an unmarked bus stop.
Somehow one of my favorite paintings by Raphael……The School Of Athens got involved.
You can see what happened……..

Let me introduce……….Stella and Bella
Life is full of the unexpected……on the day of their arrival 1 year old Stella came “on heat”
This was a big surprise. Whilst it was known that de-sexing lay in her future this turn of events was a real shock.
Decision…….to suffer the extreme behavior of her for the next maybe 10 days or have her de-sexed immediately.
After one day it was clear……get the op.
She was done and is making a good recovery……seen here playing.
Sometimes our greatest joys come to us wrapped up in pain and suffering……

Today I found the…………Title : Discoveries Of An Alchemist
Alchemists have historically rewritten and evolved the explanation of their art, making a single definition difficult.
Alchemy has had a long standing relationship with art, seen both in alchemical texts and in mainstream entertainment. Literary alchemy appears throughout the history of English literature from Shakespeare to J. K. Rowling. Here, characters or plot structure follow an alchemical magnum opus. In the 14th century, Chaucer began a trend of alchemical satire that can still be seen in recent fantasy works like those of Terry Pratchett.
Visual artists had a similar relationship with alchemy. While some of them used alchemy as a source of satire, others worked with the alchemists themselves or integrated alchemical thought or symbols in their work. Music was also present in the works of alchemists and continues to influence popular performers. In the last hundred years, alchemists have been portrayed in a magical and spagyric role in fantasy fiction, film, television, comics and video games.

As a creative artist you always need to be ready to be inspired “by the moment.”
Here was a case in point.
My intention was a great photograph of the coast.
But when I arrived I had a David and Goliath moment which altered my perception and final images dramatically.
A guy was taking photos of the coast with the largest Canon camera I have seen outside those used at major tennis tournaments.
He proudly showed me the power of his BIG zoom and how it could show a person waving on one of the buildings…..amazing.
He had to rest the camera on a large fence post to steady it. I was impressed but the result was very predictable and seen many times before.
So I was really challenged with my very little point and shoot Sony.
The above was the result.

On my morning ride I captured these photos to share with you …………….The River Breaths….Feeding Time At Low Tide
I love how the River breaths……IN…… and this day…… deeply OUT!
A River is truly “alive” and brings life and nourishment to many others.
Could our own bodies act in a similar way?

Last post I showed some unexpected art.
Today……….The Unexpected Viewer (Of Art)
This was quite amazing.
I had put an artwork in progress out to dry. A little later along came the Plover I featured recently in a post (there are actually two but only one is an art lover).
After some food the nearby drying painting was observed. Let’s call her she (but he might be he)
She walked immediately towards it and stopped. Her head turned a little then she moved forward. All the while watching it intently. This continued for what seemed like 5 or 10 minutes but I was so amazed and taking photos I lost all notion of time.
This beautiful creature was curiously examining this painting in a way I have only seen people…… study a masterpiece.
Finally they flew off and I was left……. stunned and amazed!

Found recently were these two pieces of ………Wall Art.
No, they were not created delibrately…..it was accidental.
The wall is about to be demolished so I decided to take these photographs before it happens.
The lady floor manager of the store where the wall is located was totally amazed when I wanted to photograph “the wall” and thought I was crazy.
So after my photos I returned to her……thanked her and showed her the results.
SHE WAS AMAZED!
Guess you might say……..changing the way we see art and the world one person at a time
………and art is all around us.

From day to day you never know who might drop in for a free meal. Here is ………..A Recent Visitor
From a little research this is a Spur-winged Plover.
The Spur-winged plover is named because it has a sharp, yellow, black-tipped spur on each wing. Also known as the Masked lapwing and Masked plover.
It is a long-legged wading bird with a black head, white belly and yellow facial wattles. Plovers are found Australia-wide.
The Spur-winged plover is found mainly in South and Eastern Australia.

I am always amazed by the unexpected happenings on my morning rides.
On the weekend three Dragon Boats were racing on the Nerang River. They turned right in front of me.
What a magnificent sight they made churning through the water with their rhythmic paddling.

…….so many wonderful times there……music venues, restaurants, theatres, nightclubs etc., all full of people at 3.00am……..and all very safe.
Movies were often made particularly at night. And those fabulous rooftops where people did anything and everything.
Also it was such a great place to walk. The best art galleries only minutes away. Washington Square just 2 blocks…….oh the memories are beginning to flood.
Every block full of interest. East Village and Soho so close. Canal Street just south……..and the subway…….access to Uptown, Downtown, Brooklyn, Queens and even New Jersey.
A friend had a 5,000 square foot loft in TriBeCa. Spent a lot of time there with morning walks to Battery Park. Often saw Robert De Nero and others. Later I biked up and down the westside and all over Manhattan.
I was once told and I know………I AM A NEW YORKER!
I loved every minute and feel absolutely blessed to have been able to live there…….. who knows….one day I may return….
(the above came as a response to a comment on my previous blog. I thought you might enjoy it too.)

Memories are layered thoughts and feelings……..
Some are clear and others merge and combine…..dream-like.
This is a layered memory…….to be explored and discovered.
Bleecker Street is full of fond memories for me having lived there for 7 years.
It is in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York.

Many artists are drawn to rundown places because of their cheap rents and large spaces. This environment stimulates creativity and allows the artist to focus on what is really important in life…… deeper values and meaning.
Then, as many artists move to this less desirable area they work their magic introducing trendy looking coffee shops art galleries, boutiques etc………and prices rise. Soon the area is “the place” to live.
The irony is……..many artists are forced to move on and find another place to develop.
This was my experience in New York.
Arriving in the 80’s and setting up residence in a SoHo loft/studio in lower Manhattan.
The area was changing and by mid 90’s it area was being referred to as a “Mall” environment with most of the galleries moving to Chelsea on the lower West side.
I moved to a large loft in an old factory at the sleepy less known area at Long Island City just across the river from Grand Central Station at 42nd Street.
Such is…… The Artist’s Cycle Of Renewal
Now I find the same process at work where I am now…….they are advertising…..The Changing Face of Nerang.

I love panorama shots……I don’t like taking them.
You have to hold the camera steady then pan to the right or left.
Somehow I end up with mostly good images……but the end point is often hit or miss.
Then they are sooooooooo long they are very small on a computer screen.
This one was half as long again so I cropped it……..however it is still small.
They need to be expanded and seen on walls…..so you can get the full effect.
That’s how I feel about them……….what about you?
When I began taking this one……The Runner…..was nowhere in sight and as I panned he ran past me.
My immediate reaction was he will be a blur………I was wrong.
A perfect image of him……..I love the unexpected too!
