Here is a new photograph……Title : Air On A B String
(an alternative title : Bach Burgess Book Bikini and Beach)
To set the atmosphere to fully enjoy this image I have added a YouTube video which I suggest you play while viewing the image.
The title is obviously connected to the music of J. S. Bach…… Air On A G String

Title : Light Freeze
a moment in time
when things were sublime
there was a……light freeze.
Additional Comment :
After preparing this post I was curious to see if there is anything relating to freezing light….
Here is what I found……….an article in Scientific American

The implications of this are beyond our current thinking!

Several months ago the Tweed Regional Gallery opened something very special…..The Margaret Olley Arts Centre.
It is the meticulously re-created home of Australian Painter Margaret Olley within the gallery. Here are several photos to give you a taste of how good it is.
Also a video to describe how it all came about. More can be found on YouTube etc. if you are interested.
This video gives more information about Margaret Olley’s life.

Visiting an Art Gallery is always a wonderful experience.
However The Tweed Regional Gallery offers another dimension to a visit.
As much time can be spent looking outside as inside.

Here are some photographs I took as a passenger on the return drive from the gallery visit earlier in the week.
I have made no effort to make them “perfect” and you see them with window reflections etc.
In fact I love imperfections…….they are what make things real.

On Wednesday I was visiting a gallery in the country and stopped in for coffee on the way back.
Every ready with my camera I filmed this amazing performance of two people I did not know at the time. Just my intuition told me it was something very special!
William Barton and his mother….Aunty Delmae Barton are both internationally acclaimed performers and they just happened to be visiting this place…… “Bush Tucker” which has a big barn at the rear where people perform. They are also here on the Gold Coast because they are being engaged for the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
Delmae wrote the poem she read here on Tuesday so this is a world exclusive performance.
Remember the Australian Aboriginal People have lived here continually for more than 60,000 years long before many/most/all civilizations.
Therefore the didgeridoo reflects that very ancient, primitive and primordial sound.

After the grand discoveries of yesterday Apollo and I set out this morning with high expectations.
I have learnt from the past that every day is new and anything is possible.
Imagine my disappointment as I returned home with little results.
It was then that Apollo informed me that something wonderful was yet to happen.
All I need do is look around my own yard and something would be revealed.
Suddenly I was reminded too that the small and insignificant can be grand!
Hence todays post.
