Broadway Boogie Woogie

New mixed media artwork on paper approximately 4 ft x 6 ft…..

Title : Broadway Boogie Woogie

The title refers to a famous Mondrian painting of the same name. Also there are other links to his work although they are not so obvious. The method of expression could not be more different.

Having lived in New York for so long I can relate this painting to the energy and color of Broadway.

While many of my drawings come easily this one did not. It was a struggle, mysterious and challenging. Then getting a title was the same…..like finding the truth which is often difficult and most challenging…..but worth the effort.
