I captured this black and white photograph recently………Title : A Touch Of Tenderness
The young lady is using a process called “threading”. Threading is apparently an ancient hair removal technique where antibacterial cotton is used in a special method to remove facial hair and shape eyebrows.

Like yesterday’s post here is my little Nikon L820 performing against a big Canon with a canon 105mm lens. The Canon owner was very impressed.
Looking at the image again reminds me of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Another visit to The Dam yielded unexpected results. A lady appeared with her super large zoom camera. I was green with envy!
I approached her and asked about her very large Nikon camera. Soon several other photographers joined us and we discussed the merits of having a “real” zoom camera and the benefits of shooting in RAW against jpeg. My small Nikon L820 only shoots in jpeg. Anyway we final decided to take some shots and compare results. Suddenly they were amazed by my little David against their big Goliath cameras.
Following is one comparison…….
Similar results were achieved when we photographed other subjects including a small bird.
So once again I was shocked and grateful with what my simple inexpensive camera could achieve.
……..and we all agreed how wonderful photography can be regardless of your equipment.
