Another fascination I have is with the not so obvious……the behind the scenes happenings, people etc. Here a cameraman caught my attention. He was projecting his large images behind the stage performers making them appear much larger than life.

As I reviewed my experience of the Blues Festival I realised apart from my love of the music my main interests are PASSION and ORIGINALITY. Those artists who give their most to create something which is compelling and truly themselves. Even when this music may not be my favorite I am still engaged to watch and listen. I think most people are the same.
PASSION and ORIGINALITY was evident in 8 Ball Aiken and in todays post of Uptown Brown………a true original one man band! With simple means both engaged their audiences in unique ways. Both intimate and personal they shared a magic which the powerful 10,000 watt huge main stage at the other end of the street could not. Don’t get me wrong I loved both. The all embracing blasting sound of 4 or 5 or more musicians contained within the main stage each giving their special contributing to a 75 minute performance was amazing but…….

This kind guy feeds these locals regularly. Pieces of banana seem to be a favorite food. There are several families he visits and he said that it took one month before this big one would feed out of this hand.
