The Library Gift Two
This is another painting inspired by a library gift to me. It is painted on found paper which was heavily gessoed on both sides before beginning. I was once told by a Head Conservationist of a Major Art Gallery that what protected artworks best over a long time was if they were prepared on both sides rather than just one…. even if they were “acid free .”
