Here is a new painting which was a direct response to dancing through several Picasso Still Life and Figure paintings. When I asked what he thought about it he said….. “Bloody terrible mate” in a pronounced Aussie accent. (I didn’t think he could speak Australian) Then he reminded me of the initial reaction to Les Demoiselles d’Avignon…. “It was terrible too! “

One consistent aim of mine has always been to show the world in a new way. Like Cezanne, Picasso, Van Gogh and others I have long challenged myself to explore new ways of seeing the world. Here is yet another in the process of doing this. An interior is often the framework for these discoveries and like a scientist I allow the process and intuition to guide me. I have no idea of the end result.
