Like yesterday’s post here is my little Nikon L820 performing against a big Canon with a canon 105mm lens. The Canon owner was very impressed.
Looking at the image again reminds me of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Another new series of my work titled Pollock in the Studio.
This image….Red Pollock.
It is a photo montage from several different works of mine….paintings, photos, digital etc.
Pollock has been a regular visitor to my studio and work over the years.

The Chateau studio is revealed!
Finally I welcome you to my studio at the end of the west wing of the Chateau shown at the top of my blog page. As you can see it is not quite as grand as the rest of the Chateau. I could not get the chandeliers into the photo. However I did capture a little of the mess.
As artists we learn to use whatever we have at hand and make the most of it. A kitchen table is fine if that is all you have. I was surprised when I saw how small Jackson Pollock’s studio was at Springs, Long Island NY. Many of his big paintings would have covered nearly ALL his floor area.
Someone once said a studio is a place you create in your mind not a physical place. It can be anywhere. One of my students created a studio in a London coffee shop on her recent visit. The drawings she did on the small coffee table are quite stunning.
So I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Chateau studio. Come again.
