Learned a new word today, thanks…This is such a wonderfully timeless photo, the dog days of any decade…
Me too John……it came from a dialect variant of late Middle English “fon” ‘make a fool of, be a fool’, related to fon….. ‘a fool’. So I know we will be having a lot of Fon in future! 🙂 …. thanks mate!
